EPIRUS – THE GRANDCHILD OF ILLYRIUS
Here I’d like to present a concise review of Epirus according to the mythology. The kinship between Epirots and Illyrians suggested by old traditions of mythology is undeniable as well as it is provided by ancient literary accounts, archeological findings, anthropological and ethnographic evidences.

THE USE AND ABUSE OF ANCIENT ACCOUNTS BY MODERN BYZANTINE PROPAGANDA

The self-proclaimed “Greeks” from Greece have now resurfaced more aggressively than never before, putting to their use every channel and means possible to spread their systematic propaganda about “Epirus” in the virtual world!

Their whole political movement since 1913 has been to achieve and justify the military occupation of the lower half of “Epirus” aka “Çameria“ and to lay claim to the northern part of “Epirus” or as it is called today Toskeria. To lay claim to these lands they produce maps and bring selective quotes from some ancient authors and historians, trying to prove the ethnic Hellenic ruts of the people of “Epirus”, ruts of whom they (the Greeks) do not belong themselves but they claim to be of! In most cases these quotes are brought forth edited, miss-quoted and in such a way that their true meaning has been lost or is being miss lead as to work in their favour. continue..

GREECE, THE LAND WHERE MYTHS REPLACES REALITY
(Myths about Epirus)
What is myth and what does it serve?
Myth is a narrative based usually on a false story which can not be used as a replacement of history, but sometimes myth might be considered a distorted account of a real historical event. The myth does not differ much from a folktale and usually the boundary between them is very thin. Myth can not be considered as history, however in the ancient society of the so called “”Ancient Greeks”” myth was usually regarded as a true account
for a remote past. Surprisingly this ‘tradition’ is descended to the Modern Greeks as well. They never loose the chance to use the myths and the mythology of a remote past and to
pose them as their real ethnic history. continue..

Montenegrin’s – Their Albanian Origin
Slavic invasions certainly decreased the enormous territory of Illyria, which according to APPIAN (The Foreign Wars Ill. 1.1) extended from Istri (modern Danube) to as far as Chaonia and Thesproti (precisely, Ambracia bay). A large portion of the northern Illyrian population shifted farther south in the rocky mountains of northern Albania, where their culture and ethnic identity survive today, an Illyrian identity which is represented by the modern Albanians. continue..

In the first part ‘Epiri-The Cradle of the Albanian People’, we have argued in a summarized manner some of the important facts cited in the chronics of the old authors but also of those modern, that Epiri population has never been Greek; that it was with an Illyrian content that was part of a Pelasgian complex. The main purpose of this study in continuance is to make known the continuity of ethnicity Illyro-Albanians in Epir from middle-ages all the way to our days.

Greeks seem to disappoint everyone that has thought of them as benignant of knowledge, civilizations and science. Naturally the ancient Greeks hold it these virtues with a lot of dignity, until the Pseudo-Greeks of today who are totally different from the ancients. In lack of proves, Greeks don’t have the spunk to get engaged directly with citations of the above mentioned authors, but come with prejudgments and low classification of kind: ‘ This is not a historian, this does not have any connection with history‘ and same like this. continue..
Let’s start to expose some fallacies and liars signed by Greek Propaganda
***Greek Claim 1 #: “Barbarian term does not mean denied of being Greek”
Is that right? The Greek nationalists speak with so much accuracy as if to have lived in that time to know what meaning had the term ‘barbar’. The term ‘barbar’ precisely means non-Greek, since implies another language that doesn’t get understood by the Greeks. Taking in consideration the hinge that recognized that ‘the language determined the ethnicity’ therefore comes to light that Macedonians as well as the Epirotes were non-Greeks. continue..
