The Coming of the Indo-Europeans

Indo-Europeans began to arrive in the Balkans about 3000 B.C. apparently emerging from an area to the north of the Black Sea. With their language they brought their culture. Archaeological evidence suggests the common source of the Indo-Europeans as the part of southern Russia lying between the Danube Basin and the Urals. As they moved west, the closely related dialects of the Indo-Europeans were mixed with the existing, older languages of eastern and central Europe. A COLLECTION OF VARIOUS CITATIONS REGARDING ALBANIANS AND THEIR LANGUAGE BEING MOST ANCIENT ONE IN WHOLE EUROPE

1. Encyclopedia Britannica, p. 483:The Albanians are apparently the most ancient race in southeastern Europe. History and legend afford no record of their arrival in the Balkan Peninsula. They are probably the descendants of the earliest Aryan, immigrants, who were represented in historical times by the kindred Ilryrians, Macedonians and Epirots; the Macedonians and Epirots are believed by Hahn to have formed the core of the pro-Hellenic Tyrrheno-Pelasgian population which inhabited the southern portion of the peninsula and extended its limits to Thrace and Italy.  The Illyrians were also ” Pelasgian,” but in a wider sense. This megalomaniac mentality is so present amongst the Australian Greek diaspora, especially with in the so-called (AMAC). This type of mentality survives on the dream of recreating the borders of the once Byzantine Empire. But unlike the founders of the glories Byzantine Empire (which was founded by the Illyrian/Albanian Emperors), this neo-Byzantine would be under the control of the  “Greek” Orthodox Church, a control which the old Byzantine never had!

Every serious modern linguist accept that Albanian is one of the oldest European languages, that trace its origin back to Illyrian and Thracian.  All linguistic circles maintain the view that Albanian is direct descendant of Illyrian while simultaneously has a Thracian ingredient too. All possible evidences that survives from those old languages confirm idea that they were a similar languages and differences between them were of dialectal nature.

“In 3200 BC, there were many, many languages spoken besides Sumerian and Egyptian, but they weren’t fortunate enough to have a writing system. These languages are just as old. To take one interesting case, the Albanian language (spoken north of Greece) was not written down until about the 15th century AD, yet Ptolemy mentions the people in the first century BC.* continue..

In a pamphlet written in 1416 by the Byzantine satirist Mazaris, ‘The Sojourn of Mazaris in Hades’, there is an imaginary letter dated 21 September 1415 and addressed from the Peloponnese to one Holobolos of the Underworld, which describes the condition then existing in the peninsula:
